Razer Blackwidow V4 Pro Review

Razer came out with a new keyboard lineup in August, and we feel that they have outdone themselves with the new Razer Blackwidow V4 Pro.

The Razer Blackwidow V4 Pro is an impressive gaming keyboard that comes with a range of features tailored to enhance the gaming experience for users. It is a full-sized keyboard with an aluminum plate, a detachable wristrest, and a new command dial. It features 8 dedicated macro keys to assign custom functions to, and the most attractive RGB lighting you will ever see.

Let’s start with the new command dial, which you can use for various functions such as keyboard brightness, zoom, switching apps, switching browser tabs, and horizontal and vertical scrolls. It can also be used to adjust the RGB lighting of the keyboard, and for selecting tracks and skimming through them.

Razer’s downloadable Synapse software allows you to customize the command dial further, with up to 100 modes, and allows the user to map any function to the clockwise and anti-clockwise turns of the dial.

Razer has put a lot of hard work into the Blackwidow V4 Pro, such as its Doubleshot ABS Keycaps. A special molding process is used in the making of these keycaps which make it so that the labels do not wear off. The keycaps have extra thick walls, making them extremely durable, and the RGB lighting shines through the keycaps to give an elegant look to the keyboard.

The V4 Pro comes with the very best switches Razer has to offer, their famous Green(Clicky) and Yellow(Linear) switches. You can choose which switch you want depending on the feedback you want: Precise actuation with clicky, tactile feedback, or quick actuation with smooth and silent keystrokes.

The V4 Pro offers 8 dedicated macro keys, five of these keys are located on the left of the keyboard, numbered M1-M5, and the other three keys can be found on the left side of the case.

The keyboard also has a multi-function roller and 4 extra media keys, which makes controlling everything from brightness to volume very convenient.

The magnetic leatherette wristrest adds some extra gaming comfort and flair to the V4 Pro. It features the Razer Chroma RGB and underglow, making it look as good as the V4 itself.
