Corsair K70 Max Review

Whether you’re a professional gamer seeking the perfect edge in competitive play or a productivity enthusiast demanding sublime typing experiences, the Corsair K70 Max claims to offer it all.

It is a full-sized keyboard with an aluminum frame, it comes with a magnetic wrist-rest and features the new Corsair MGX switches.

The Corsair MGX adjustable magnetic-mechanical switches let you set every key’s actuation point for more speed, accuracy, and control. You can enable two actions per keypress with dual-point actuation to execute instant combos.

This works because you’ll have one action executed mid-keypress and the other completed at the bottom, these actions can be customized with Corsair’s iCUE software.

The K70 Max has 1.5mm thick PBT double-shot keycaps that are built to last a lifetime. They are resistant to cracking under pressure, wear, fade, and getting shiny over time. A switch on the rear of the keyboard puts the K70 Max into tournament mode, which switches to a static backlight and disables all macros to avoid latency.

The K70 Max has five dedicated media keys and an aluminum roller which can be used for various functions like scrolling through a website or adjusting the brightness. These functions and the per-key RGB can be customized through the iCUE app.
